Roots in Scandia Valley
Horizon Painting was built right here in Central Minnesota, with roots in Scandia Valley and a deep connection to the Brainerd Lakes Area. Painting runs in the family. Four generations have carried the trade forward, and each one has passed down the same lessons: prepare it right, do it once, and treat every home like it belongs to your neighbor.
Because it usually does. Our customers are the people we see at church, at the hardware store, and out on the lake. That's why we show up when we say we will, communicate clearly, keep job sites clean, and take pride in work that lasts through Minnesota winters.
"We still believe a handshake means something."
Family-Owned Means Family
When we say family-owned, we mean it. Horizon Painting is grandparents, parents, kids, and now grandkids. The same people you'll meet on your job site are the ones you'll see at church and around the lake.
"We treat every home like it belongs to family, because that's how we were raised."
The Horizon Way
The way we work hasn't changed in four generations. Neither have the values behind it.
Our Word Is Our Bond
We show up on time, do what we say we'll do, and finish what we start.
Preparation First
A finish is only as good as the prep underneath it. We never skip the steps that make paint last.
Clear Communication
You'll always know what's happening, what's next, and who to call with questions.
Transparent Pricing
Clear, upfront estimates. No surprises and no hidden upcharges.
Respect for Your Home
We protect your property and leave every job site as clean as we found it.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
We walk every project with you and make it right before we call it done.
Thanks for Trusting a Local Crew
When you hire Horizon Painting, you're not hiring a franchise or a crew passing through town. You're hiring a family that lives here, raises kids here, and plans to be here for the next generation, too.
My promise is simple: we'll treat your home the way we'd want ours treated, we'll tell you the truth about what it needs, and we'll stand behind our work long after the last coat dries.
