Effective date: October 12, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of horizonpaintingbrainerd.com (the "Site") and to painting, refinishing, and restoration services provided by Horizon Painting ("Horizon Painting," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, requesting an estimate, or hiring us, you agree to these Terms.
If your signed estimate, proposal, or contract includes terms that differ from these, your signed written agreement controls for that project.
We will give you a projected start date and do our best to keep it. Exterior work, staining, and sealing depend on temperature, humidity, rain, and other conditions required by the coating manufacturer. We may reschedule or pause work when conditions could affect the quality of the finish. Weather delays are not a breach of agreement.
Start dates may also shift due to delays on earlier projects, material availability, illness, or other circumstances outside our control. We will keep you informed of any changes.
Minnesota lien notice: As required by Minnesota law, any person or company supplying labor or materials for the improvement of real property may file a lien against the property if not paid. Horizon Painting will provide any statutory notices required for your project.
If you ask us to add surfaces, change colors after work has begun, or otherwise change the scope, we will provide a written or texted change order with any added cost before proceeding. Additional work is billed at the price stated in the change order.
To help your project go smoothly, you agree to:
We will take care to protect your floors, furniture, landscaping, and property during the project.
Our estimates are based on what we can see. Sometimes preparation uncovers problems that were not visible, such as rotted wood, moisture damage, failing previous coatings, mold, or structural issues. If this happens, we will stop and talk with you before doing any additional work. Repairs beyond the original scope will require a change order.
Paint and stain cannot correct underlying problems such as moisture intrusion, foundation movement, or defective siding.
Homes built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. For work that disturbs painted surfaces in these homes, we follow the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) requirements, including providing the EPA's Renovate Right pamphlet before work begins. Additional lead-safe practices may affect project cost and will be noted in your estimate.
Our goal on every project is simple: do the best job we can and make sure you're happy with our work. That's what our Satisfaction Guarantee means.
The Satisfaction Guarantee is not a lifetime guarantee or a long-term warranty. It does not promise how long paint, stain, or sealer will last, and it does not include free repainting in the future. Paint and stain naturally wear over time, especially through Minnesota weather.
Any warranty on paint, stain, or other products is provided by the product's manufacturer, not by Horizon Painting. Correcting our workmanship is the remedy under this guarantee; it does not include refunds for completed work. To raise a concern, contact us with photos and your project address, and we'll follow up to schedule a visit.
Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellation terms and any non-refundable portion of your deposit will be stated in your agreement. Materials purchased or custom-tinted for your project may be billed if the project is canceled.
If you signed your agreement at your home, you may have the right to cancel within three business days under Minnesota and federal home-solicitation laws. Details will be included in your agreement when they apply.
We may take before, during, and after photos of our work. With your permission, we may use photos on our website, social media, and marketing. We will not publish your name or street address without your consent. Let us know at any time if you'd prefer we not share photos of your property.
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Horizon Painting about estimates, appointments, project updates, review requests, and occasional offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
Horizon Painting is licensed and insured in Minnesota. If damage to your property occurs as a direct result of our work, please notify us promptly so we can make it right.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided "as is," and Horizon Painting is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a project will not exceed the amount you paid for that project.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under Minnesota law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any dispute will be handled in the state courts located in Minnesota. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern directly.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
